Additional Clerk’s Office contact information is available on our website at http://www.cafc.uscourts.gov/contact/clerks-office.

The routine maintenance window is extended on Saturday, August 19, 2017 for national system updates. The CM/ECF system may be unavailable from 5:00AM-1:00PM EDT. We recommend that you do not attempt any CM/ECF transactions until the system maintenance is completed. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit’s PACER and ECF Systems are back online as of 7:30 pm on August 7, 2017. Counsel is advised to review Federal Circuit Rule 25(c)(1)(J) and Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 26(a)(3) for guidance regarding any technical difficulties they may have had over the course of the day.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit’s PACER and ECF Systems are not accessible due to an outage. We do not have an estimated time as to when services will be fully restored and will post additional information once it becomes available. Counsel may contact the Clerk’s Office at (202) 275-8000 for any questions regarding time sensitive filings.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit proposes to amend its Local Rules.  These amendments are subject to public notice and comment under 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b).  The proposed amendments would modify the related-case disclosure requirements in Federal Circuit Rules 47.4 and 47.5.  The proposed revisions are available here

Comments and suggested changes by members of the public must be submitted by the close of business on September 1, 2017, to chiefdeputyclerk@cafc.uscourts.gov with a subject line of “Proposed Rules Comments.”  Please include the name and return email address (if different than the address from which the email comment is sent) of the person submitting the comment.

For members of the public without access to email, comments and suggested changes may also be submitted by mail to Proposed Rules Comments, Clerk’s Office, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, 717 Madison Place, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20439.
