Circuit Judge Richard Linn has been chosen to receive the Outstanding Public Service Award from the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. The award will be given at the 88th Annual Dinner in Honor of the Federal Judiciary on Saturday, March 26, 2010 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The Federal Circuit issues proposed modifications to its Attorney Discipline Rules which are indicated on the following link . All comments are due to the attention of the Clerk of Court no later than March 26, 2010.

Chief Judge Paul R. Michel will take part in a panel discussion titled "In re Bilski: The Supreme Court Tackles the Issue of Patentable Subject Matter" on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the USC Gould School of Law Intellectual Property Institute in Los Angeles, California. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel will give the keynote presentation at the Seventh Annual Institute of Intellectual Property & Social Justice (IIPSJ) CLE Program on Friday, March 12, 2010. The Chief Judge's topic will be "How the Patent System Can Be Made Better for Everyone." The program will be held at Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel’s will give the keynote address, titled “A View from the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit regarding Appeals from the ITC in Section 337 Investigations” at the American Conference Institute’s 2nd Expert Forum on ITC Litigation & Enforcement on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Omni Berkshire Place in New York City. Circuit Judge Randall Rader will give the keynote address during the Master Classes session on Friday, February 26th. Judge Rader will discuss the standards of proof and review for Section 337 determinations and comment on IP rights and enforcement in China, India, Brazil, Russia, and other developing economies.
