Announcements in 2014

Access to case information and documents in cases docketed prior to March 1, 2012 is now available on PACER. Using our “Search Cases Filed Before March 1, 2012” link, you again have access to cases filed from 1996 through February 2012. Case information and documents docketed after March 1, 2012 are available through CM/ECF PACER. Applicable PACER fees apply to both data sources.

Before searching for a case from the “Search Cases Filed Before March 1, 2012” link, check CM/ECF PACER. If the case is found in CM/ECF PACER, that source will have up-to-date information. The “Search Cases Filed Before March 1, 2012” link only contains information docketed prior to March 1, 2012 and it is not updated.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has amended Internal Operating Procedure (IOP) # 11.9. The revision removes "CIT" as an example of the inappropriate use of an acronym. The revised IOP # 11.9 is appended here.

Both the Federal Circuit's CM/ECF and PACER systems will be unavailable on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 8:00 AM EDT to Sunday, October 26 at 6:00 PM EDT for system maintenance. It is important that you do not attempt any transactions during this period. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

PACER no longer supports access to Federal Circuit case information and documents in cases filed from 1996 to 2011. PACER formerly provided access to Federal Circuit uncertified docket sheets, Entries of Appearance, Certificates of Interest, and official captions. To access those documents, or other case information, please contact the Federal Circuit Clerk's office in writing by e-mail to records@cafc.uscourts.gov or facsimile to 202-275-9678. Applicable copy fees will apply.
