Announcements in 2018

The Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce a new and free subscription-based electronic public notification and announcement system for receiving news and information from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In launching this service, the Federal Circuit joins over 60 other federal courts in providing an easier way for the public to access daily opinions, public notices, court operating status changes, and electronic filing information. View additional information.

Beginning Monday, June 4, 2018, members of the bar will be able to access the Internet via a wireless connection provided by the court. Those interested in using the Court’s system to access the Internet must visit the Clerk’s Office, Suite 401, or the Circuit Library, Room 218, in person to obtain a password and log-in information. Access is available in the 2nd floor lobby, the 4th floor lobby, and the Circuit Library. Users of the Court’s wireless Internet access system must read the Disclaimer and the FAQs before accessing the system.

The Court’s public website will be unavailable due to planned maintenance from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm EST, Monday, May 21, 2018 and 7:00 pm  to 10:00 pm EST, Wednesday, May 23, 2018. We regret any inconvenience. Electronic filing will remain available at http://ecf.cafc.uscourts.gov.

The Clerk’s Office has released updated electronic filing procedures compatible with this week’s installation of NextGen CM/ECF. These procedures and an updated filing events and reliefs list are available here.

Due to inclement weather, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will open on a two-hour delay on March 22, 2018. Unscheduled leave and telecommuting are authorized as approved by supervisors. Chambers staff should follow policy of their respective judge.
