Circuit Judge Linn Assumed Senior Status on November 1, 2012

Circuit Judge Richard Linn retired from active status on October 31, 2012.  He will continue to hear cases at the Federal Circuit as a circuit judge in senior status. Judge Linn has been a member of the court for close to thirteen years, having been appointed by President William Jefferson Clinton in 2000. Judge Linn was sworn in at midnight on January 1, 2000, the first federal judge to be sworn in to the Third Branch at the dawn of the 21st Century.
