Judge Jimmie V. Reyna Sworn-in on April 7, 2011

The Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna became a member of the Federal Circuit on Thursday afternoon, April 7th, at a swearing-in ceremony in the chambers of Chief Judge Randall Rader, who administered the oath of office. Judge Reyna was accompanied by his wife, Dolores Reyna and his sons, Justin and Jimmie Reyna. Chief Judge Pogue of the U.S. Court of International Trade, Chief Judge Folsom and Judge Davis of the Eastern District of Texas, Diana Sen, President of the Hispanic National Bar Association, Bill Rivera, President of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia and Jim Meath, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Williams Mullen also attended. Circuit Judges attending the ceremony included Judge Newman, Judge Plager, Judge Lourie, Judge Schall, Judge Bryson, Judge Clevenger, Judge Gajarsa, Judge Linn and his wife Patti Linn, Judge Dyk and his wife Sally Katzen, Judge Prost, Judge Moore and Judge O’Malley. Also present were Deputy Circuit Executive Dale Bosley, Chief Deputy Clerk Pam Twiford, Deputy Clerk James Benjamin and Seth Heller, Bill Raich, Charlin Lu, Lindsay Hopkins, Trish Taylor, Jinrong Li and Pat Grob, members of the Chief Judge's staff. Shannon Chambers, a staff member of the Clerk's Office, took photographs. Judge Reyna was nominated to the court by President Barack Obama on September 29, 2010, renominated on January 5, 2011 and confirmed by the Senate on April 4, 2011.


Circuit Judge Jimmie V. Reyna is sworn in by Chief Judge Rader. Dolores Reyna, Judge Reyna's wife, holds the Bible.
