Circuit Judge Plager will be the Keynote Speaker at a Symposium entitled "The Federal Circuit as an Institution". The Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review will be hosting the event, which will discuss the Court as an institution, its' original mandate, and how well it has followed that mandate. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel and Circuit Judge Randall R. Rader will both speak at The Sedona Conference on Patent Litigation at the Hilton Sedona Resort in Sedona, Arizona, on October 22 and 23, 2009. Topics that Chief Judge Michel and Judge Rader will address include: re-examination and litigation, inequitable conduct, injunctive relief and damages, reasonable royalties, and extraordinary relief. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel will give the luncheon address at the Fourth Annual BNA/ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law Patent Conference. Markey Distinguished Lecture in Patent Law, sponsored by the John Marshall Law School Center for Intellectual Property Law.
