Opinions & Orders

The Federal Circuit publishes online all opinions, precedential orders, dispositive orders in writs petitions, Rule 36 judgments, non-ministerial orders relating to rehearing or en banc petitions or actions, dispositive orders constituting either judgment or mandate, and any errata notice or revised version for any of the preceding document types.  These matters are typically docketed between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (Eastern) daily and are posted on the Federal Circuit’s website promptly after entry on the court’s docket in the electronic filing system. Subscribe to our RSS feed or email notification service to receive notice of newly published items.

The Government Publishing Office (GPO) provides access to federal, appellate, district, bankruptcy and national judicial opinions through GovInfo (https://www.govinfo.gov).  The GovInfo Search Strategies resource provides search strategies and features on GovInfo that will help you better target your search for opinions.

Opinions and select orders from October 1, 2004, to the present are available below for public access. All orders issued after 2012 are available through PACER.
