Assistance for Unrepresented Parties

Printer-friendly version

On March 20, 2020, the Clerk's Office issued temporary, modified procedures for unrepresented parties, which are available here.  Until further notice, please follow these procedures and guidance whenever they conflict with information in the following resources.

The Guide for Unrepresented Parties is provided by the Clerk’s Office for the convenience of unrepresented (pro se) parties for reference and educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.  Unrepresented parties remain responsible for independently reviewing and complying with the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and the Federal Circuit Rules.

To assist unrepresented parties, sections of the Guide explaining each stage of an appeal are also available as individual documents.
