Chief Judge Michel to Receive IP Person of the Year Award from the LAIPLA on December 1, 2009. Circuit Judge Linn to Join Chief Judge Michel on Panel Discussion about Remedies in IP Litigation.

Chief Judge Paul Michel will receive the IP Person of the Year Award at the LAIPLA Judges' Night 2009 dinner and reception on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. The dinner and reception will be held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Circuit Judge Richard Linn will join Chief Judge Michel on a panel discussion about remedies in patent litigation at the dinner. Information is available at this link.
   

Chief Judge Michel to Give Keynote Address at Annual Dinner of the Federal Circuit Bar Association on November 20, 2009 in Washington, DC

Chief Judge Michel’s Speech as the Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute November 18, 2009

Chief Judge Paul Michel was chosen to be the Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute from November 15 to 19, 2009. As a Fellow, the Chief Judge participated in many aspects of the law school, including teaching classes and meeting with students. He delivered a public lecture, entitled “Innovation Incentives, Competition, and Patent Law Reform: Should Congress Fix the Patent Office and Leave Litigation Management to the Courts?" on November 18, 2009.
