Noted historian and author Anthony S. Pitch will give the inaugural lecture in the Federal Circuit Historical Society's Lecture Series at 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in the Dolley Madison House. Mr. Pitch's topic is "Oh, the Horror: Lafayette Square and Lincoln's Assassination." The lecture is based on Pitch's widely-acclaimed new book titled, They Have Killed Papa Dead. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel will keynote The Twenty-Fifth Annual Joint Patent Practice Seminar, sponsored by Joint Patent Practice Continuing Legal Education Inc. The Seminar will take place on April 30, 2009, and will be held at the Hilton New York Hotel. Registration information can be found at this link .

Circuit Judge Alvin A. Schall will give the keynote address at the Merit Systems Protection Board Legal Conference on April 28, 2009. The conference will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Chief Judge Paul Michel will give the luncheon address on Monday, April 20, 2009 at the 5th International Judges Conference on Intellectual Property Law. This conference, which attracts more than seventy judges from over thirty countries, is sponsored by the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation and will be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. Circuit Judge Randall Rader will speak on patentable subject matter as part of a panel on this subject on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to attend three oral arguments at the Federal Circuit on Tuesday morning, April 21st. Registration information is available at this link.

Circuit Judge Randall Rader will speak at the Fordham's Seventeenth Annual Intellectual Property law & Policy Conference in London, England on April 15, 2009. Judge Rader will speak at a panel discussion titled "The Judiciary and IP Policy: What Has Been Its Role, What Will Be Its Role?" at 10:15am.
