The Federal Circuit has changed Local Rules 35, 40, and 46(c) . Please print the notice of rule changes and insert it into your copy of the Rules dated May 1, 2008.

Several Judges from the Court are preparing to both participate and host a portion of the ABA's Section of Intellectual Property Law 24th Annual Intellectual Property Conference. This program will include a Swearing-in Ceremony and a Mock Appellate Argument at the Federal Circuit. Chief Judge Paul R. Michel and Circuit Judges S. Jay Plager and Randall Rader will participate in the mock appellate argument on April 2nd. Registration information can be found at this link.

Circuit Judge Randall Rader will give welcoming remarks at the Annual Spring Reception of the D.C. Bar Intellectual Property Law Section on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. The reception will take place in the historic Dolley Madison House on Lafayette Square from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Details are available at the D.C. Bar web site at this link.

The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit proposes to amend Federal Circuit Rule 46(c) to increase the local fee for admission from $25.00 to $50.00. Comments on this proposed rule change will be accepted though March 27, 2009. Details on the proposed rule change and on how to submit comments are available at this link .

Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) will deliver the luncheon address at the Federal Circuit symposium to be held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Registration information is available at this link.
